Yes. Every plan, solo or shop, starts with 30 days free. Nothing is charged until day 30, and coil emails you a week before. Cancel from Billing before then and you pay nothing.

Yes. Export your client list from Square, Booksy or a spreadsheet and import it on the Clients page. Importing the same person twice updates them rather than making a copy. Booking and aftercare texts work for imported clients right away; promotional texts only go to clients who agreed to them.

Yes. Every screen is built for a phone first. coil emails you the moment a new request or a client's text comes in.

A you're-booked text the moment they're booked, reminders before the session (the day before carries the consent form link), aftercare after the session, check-ins on day 3 and in week 2, and a healed photo and review ask at six weeks. You can rewrite or pause any of them. The ones that cost you money or make an offer in your name stay off until you switch them on: a tip link that evening, a week-5 touch-up offer, $25 off their next piece for a healed photo, and a note at week 12.

You pick a business number local to where you work when you set up. Clients text it, the conversation lands in your coil inbox, and you reply from there. Your personal cell stays private. Put it in your Instagram bio: anyone texting it for the first time gets your booking link straight back, and a missed call gets it by text. Every text shows whether it was delivered.

Automatic texts only go out between 9 AM and 8 PM on your clock. Anyone who replies STOP never gets another, and the first text carries that line.

If they had a session with you in the last few months, coil reads the photo. Anything that looks wrong comes straight to you with the photo. coil only answers healing questions in your name if you switch that on.

If you turn it on. When someone DMs asking to get work done, coil replies from your Instagram within a minute with your booking link. Friends and brand pitches get nothing, and if you're already talking with someone, coil stays out of it. Your inbox isn't copied into coil; it keeps only the conversations it answered.

Yes. Every tattooer gets a real page at yourname.coil.tattoo, and you can put your own domain on it on any plan.

Only if you want them to. Open the hours you're actually working and clients pick a real opening. Leave it off and every request comes to you to schedule.

Both ways with Google: anything busy in your Google Calendar can't be booked in coil, and coil adds your bookings to a coil calendar in your Google. Apple Calendar and Outlook can subscribe to your coil bookings.

Cancel from the session and tick "Offer this time to your waitlist" if you want it filled. coil texts the top five a one-tap link, and the first to pay the deposit gets the slot. Leave it unticked and nobody is texted.

Yes. Every booking gets a consent form the client signs on their phone: ID, medical questions, design and placement, aftercare and signature. Tennessee and Kentucky rules are built in, and other states get the strict version. You can require a photo ID before they sign.

No. coil is one flat price a month. Your clients pay you straight to your Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal or cash, and coil takes nothing from deposits, tips, balances or the final price. Your client never pays coil a fee either. If you take cards, in most states your client can cover the card fee.

No. Stripe handles cards, tips and waitlist deposits. Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal and cash all work too; your page shows the ways you take money.

It's optional. Ask for a small refundable deposit before you spend hours drawing. If the client books, the booking deposit goes on top. It stops you eating drawing time for the client who disappears.

Yes, if you switch it on. Clients who've sat with you before can book without one.

Yes. The client scans a QR and pays on their own phone, tip included, or you log cash and apps by hand. Shops can run a Stripe card reader at the front desk. coil doesn't run payroll.
