Questions

Which payments do I earn?

Their 1st and 3rd, each in full. Their first 2 months are free, so those aren't payments: their 1st payment is in month 3 and their 3rd in month 5. Their 2nd payment, and every payment after their 3rd, goes to coil.

When do I get paid?

Twice for each sign-up: 14 days after their 1st payment (month 3), and 14 days after their 3rd (month 5). The wait lets refunds settle. It goes out on its own, and you get an email when you earn and when it's sent.

How do I get paid?

To your bank through Stripe: a few minutes to set up, once, and Stripe keeps your bank and tax details, not coil. On coil yourself? You can take it off your coil bill instead.

How much can I make?

Each account that joins earns you its monthly bill, twice. A tattooer on their own account: $118. A shop account pays $49 a chair, so it earns you $98 for each chair it pays for: $294 for a 3-chair shop, up to $784 for a shop with 8 or more chairs (chair 9 and up is free for them). There's no cap on how many you send.

What if a tattooer I send works at a shop?

Each account counts once. If they join on their own account, you earn their bill. If their shop joins with your link, everyone who tattoos there is on the shop's account, so you earn the shop's bill, which already counts their chair.

Do they need my code?

Your link remembers them for 90 days, so they can sign up later. Or they type your code when they sign up, which is handy in person.

What if two people send the same tattooer?

The code they type at sign-up counts. Without one, the last link they tapped does.

What if they cancel?

You keep what you've already earned. If they cancel during their free months, there's nothing to earn, and if they cancel after their 1st payment but before their 3rd, you keep the 1st. If a payment that earned you money is refunded or charged back, that amount comes off your later earnings.

What about taxes?

Partner earnings are income. If coil pays you $2,000 or more in a year, you'll get a 1099 for it.

Do I have to say I'm paid?

Yes. When you post about coil, say you get paid if people join, like #ad or "I earn a referral fee." It's the law, and it keeps your followers' trust. The ready-made posts on your partner page already say it.

Can I sign up with my own code?

No. Codes are for the people you send. Sign-ups from your own email or card don't earn.
